About Us

The original location of Majoria Drugs was in the Old Metairie Shopping Center and only had two aisles and very little warehouse space. The previous owner, Mike Slaughter,  decided to look for a new location due to the growth of the business.  Space became available on Metairie Road and Bonnabel and the new store was built.  After five years the store was expanded to its present size.  Unfortunately, in 1999 Mike Slaughter lost his courageous battle with cancer. 

The store was sold by Mike's heirs to Dennis Bodungen who worked for Mike at both locations as a pharmacist.  The store has stayed true to the concept envisioned by Mike Slaughter.  Majoria Drugs is here to serve you and your healthcare needs.  Our caring staff will go the extra mile to provide you with the best in customer service.  We invite you to come by and visit Majoria Drugs.
